Case Study · AlterMe DNA

Zero UGC in the account to $2M in ad spend.

AlterMe DNA came in with polished production files and no UGC pipeline. We built the whole thing from scratch: research, angles, creators, briefs, editing, delivery. Four winning creatives scaled past $100K each. The top one hit $571K.

The Unlock

A GLP-1 angle nobody in the DNA category was testing.

Weight loss injections were dominating the conversation. Every DNA test brand was still selling on "know your genes." We went a different direction and built creative around women who tried GLP-1s and wanted a sustainable alternative. That single angle turned into some of the account's highest-scaling ads, including Shawn Nelson's GLP-1 H2 concept at $59K in spend with a 37% thumbstop, and Sarah Koz's Stop Guessing hook that alone hit $571K.

The GLP-1 angle was one of dozens we mapped from customer reviews, competitor gaps, and cross-brand signals before writing a single brief. That's where the difference actually gets made.

The Situation

A great brand with no UGC pipeline underneath it.

AlterMe DNA had high-production files and a solid brand, but zero UGC creative in the account. They needed someone to build the whole engine: creators, angles, briefs, editing, delivery, iteration. Not a freelancer here or there. A full pipeline running weekly.

Our Approach

Built the UGC engine from research to delivery.

We started with the research most agencies skip: customer reviews, comment threads, competitor ad libraries, and cross-brand signals from the other DTC accounts we run. Out of that came a stack of angles nobody in the category was working, GLP-1 being the standout.

From there we sourced creators, wrote every brief, managed production, handled editing, and shipped ready-to-launch creative into the account on a weekly cadence. Winners got iterated fast. Losers got cut. The pipeline never stopped moving.

What Happened

The account scaled past $2M in spend on our creative. Four ads pushed past $100K each. The top ad hit $571K in spend at a 39.5% thumbstop. Sixty-seven ads landed above a 40% thumbstop rate, which is elite territory for any DTC account. Thirty-one different creatives crossed $10K in individual spend. The brand kept scaling the pipeline because the pipeline kept producing.
